FTBT Terrorizes Paris

Also known as Fete de la Musique... easily the best day of the year.  If possible, I would return to Paris every year, for June 21st - seriously, the best holiday ever.  Its the longest day of the year, and Paris turns itself into a giant music festival.  You can't drive on the streets because EVERYONE is out walking around.  If you're in Paris for Fete and you stay in your hotel/apartment, you are lame and should be kicked out of Paris.

So... that being said - last year was truly epic.  This year could have possibly been better.  I didn't think that was possible.

First, a word on art - the apartment complex that our shop is in had a big art festival... the theme was "Eiffel Tower" - naturally.
This one was my favorite.  She looks kinda like me.
Fat Tire contributed as well - Ode des Vélos by Adam Benedetto
Amanda's pointilist Tower... and oui, C'est la belle vie!
Now for the good stuff... getting the night started off right.  And early might I add.
Miss Crystal, Teal Dana and Officer Kassie
Dana and I celebrate by doing our triple-time step tap routine... just don't spill the wine.
What an entrance.  Michael J. has to set the mood for the night.
First party foul of the night.
We gather.
Our first stop was the Chicken Coop - Amanda and Shannon welcome us from the window.
I cannot tell you how much I love everything that is happening in this picture.  Franz's face is priceless.
Yes, Andrew is wearing a bra.  I do not know who's it is.  It was hot in the Chicken Coop (when you try to fit 30 people into a place only meant for 5 or 6 this is what happens).  Andrew and Adam chose to take their shirts off and tried to stay decent by wearing the girl's clothes.
Dana and Ingo (all the way from Fat Tire Berlin!) - Bisous for Booze!
You had to kiss the sheet to get a drink... this is totally fair in my mind.
What a mustache.
Some of the random music along the way.
The BoBun Palace did not disappoint.  Nems from BoBun... yummy.
So then we were on to the Pont des Arts/Les Halles - but we swung through the Latin Quarter first by the Place St. Michel.  But... ya know, we had a lot of bikes.  And just normally parking them was taking up too much space.  So we put our heads together and came up with a better solution..........
STACK THEM ON TOP OF EACH OTHER!!!!
Jackson, Scott, Adam and JP... very proud of their handiwork.
HAHAHAHA... I was so proud of us!!!
Fat Tire.  Its how we role.
Devin and Ned.  Unfortunately, the police were not so amused by our solution.  They made us leave.  Apparently, there was a no bike pile sign.
So... onto Les Halles for the main course... and climbing on random modern art... naturally.
What a whirlwind of a night.
Kylie and Sister.
I'm not sure if this is a wrestling match or a worm contest.  Or if Adam is just beating up Laura.
What a great picture to end the night on.
So next time you want to take a trip, come to Paris on June 21st and have some ice cream with Fat Tire at the end of a wild and crazy night.

Did I give 3 tours the next day? Yes.  Did I wear the same thing I wore the night before?  Yes.  Was it totally worth it?!  Most definitely.

Czech Me Out!!

So Alex, Leah and I went to Prague.  I would say we had epic adventures... but this would be a lie.  Mostly, we walked around, looked at art, took pictures, and read books.  My kind of vacation.

There were awkward baby statues.  We did not understand them.

Leah and I like shadow photos.
We found Mexican food and margaritas in PRAGUE!!!  Who knew?!  I was very excited about this.  My first margarita in 3 months.
The tomb of St. John - supposedly his tongue was found intact... but it was really his shriveled up brain.
I don't like beer.  I don't know why I thought I would order it.  But no.  I still don't like beer.
Alex and I eating traditional Czech food - friend dough balls, and venison.
Some of the tombs from the Jewish cemetery.  Basically the entire cemetery was built on top of itself, layer upon layer.
Beautiful view of the Prague Castle.
From the top of the Vysehrad monastery - this is a MUST DO if you ever go to Prague.
The monastery itself.

All of us, doing what we love to do.  We also created a new blog for all our other book nerdy friends out there http://3bbooks.blogspot.com
Another view from the monastery.
After the rain, the rainbow.  From the Charles Bridge.
Tyn Cathedral.
The Astronomical clock.
We took a haunted tour of Prague - and this was our guide.  Complete with a black cape.  Thank GOD we didn't pay for it.
At night from the Charles Bridge.

Bottom line.  We went to Prague not knowing anything about it, and we left relaxed and in love with a beautiful city.  4 days was plenty of time to see everything and really just enjoy it.  So... go Czech out Prague if you get a chance!  (hehehehehe... that still cracks me up.)

Nice is nice.

So Leah said, "Let's go to Nice" - so I said, "Why not?!"  The only sad part is that I was only there for a night, but it was totally worth it.  The French Riviera.  I mean... if you have a chance to go there, you don't say no.  And... I got to play with my new camera.  So ya... Nice (pronounced "Niece") is nice.
Le Côte d'Azur
I really like all the different patterns that are going on in this picture.
Leah and I are into the whole "shadow" pictures.
Not to mention, this is like THE perfect beach... it doesn't have any sand!!!!
This is my version of "Wanderer Above the Sea Fog" by Caspar David Friedrich
And I'm just so excited about how awesome this camera is at taking pictures at night.
So our next full day, Leah and I decided to go lay out.  So this is while we were laying out... I'm not going to take pictures of the sunburn that I currently have because it is too painful and I don't want to remember it. So when the blisters go away - this will be a great picture to remember our fun on the beach.
Bottom line: Go to Nice.  Lay out.  Put on sunscreen.
