Catch Up... Birthday, Blakely, Books

I love alliterations.

Quick catch up - first of all, my internet has been down for 2 weeks, thus the reason I have posted nothing.  My life is essentially put on hold without internet.  I am a slave to technology.

So... birthday.  We ended up going to this really awesome club right under the Pont Alexandre III called "Showcase" - its like right on the river under the bridge.  Very schwanky.  Needless to say, we had an incredible time dancing until the wee hours of the morning.  And then I got up and led 3 tours the next day, but who cares?! You only live once.  Lots of ridiculous pictures.
Katy and I at my house before going out. Who knows what we were laughing at.
The view from the club.  Sweet right!?
I have the coolest boss ever:  who else could possibly rock a bowler hat AND a handlebar mustache all at the same time (not to mention the tweed jacket and awesome cowboy boots that made him about 6'7)
Jackson didn't quite get the point of the adjective game - this was his version of scared.  And in fact, this is the same face he used in every picture.  So... he has been banned from the adjective game.

Blakely is way better at playing the adjective game - I think this was surprised?
Some of my favorites: Dana, Julie, and Crystal.

I would say that my birthday = Success.

Then last week, Blakely left to go biking through the Loire Valley and then back to Berlin... so we had a last hoo-raw for him.  This included (but was not limited to) - laps around the Charles de Gaulle Etoile (12 lanes of unlined traffic around the Arc de Triomphe... amazing none the less), racing down the Champs-Elysees, bike tricks at the Louvre (ending in me falling off my bike), gi-normous bike sculpture pile on the Pont des Arts (pictures hopefully to come), and ping pong at Les Halles.  Not to mention Franz FINALLY got to eat one of Devin's calves.  I mean... who wouldn't want a bite of that?!

And now - random thoughts by Kassie:

1.  I have decided that I never want to get cable.  I don't watch TV (except for movies) - its more of just a background noise anyway.  And these days, you can watch all your favorite TV shows online whenever you want to - so there's no point.  Not to mention, when I don't have TV, I read more; and reading is WAY better than TV.  There are so many books that I want to read - and now that I'm not in school, I have all the time in the world to read them.  So bottom line... no cable for me.  (And right now I'm averaging about a book a week which is awesome.)

2.  Van gets here in 2.5 weeks!!!

3.  I really need to do laundry... but I'll settle for going shopping and buying new clothes instead.
